Dr. Lauren Whitehead is a dedicated gynecologist and fertility specialist with deep roots in Vancouver, where she completed all her medical training at the University of British Columbia. After finishing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, she pursued a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, solidifying her expertise in the field.
Dr. Whitehead is passionate about patient education, believing that informed patients are empowered patients. She is currently collaborating with the team at BC Children’s Hospital to create a comprehensive educational handbook for children and adolescents facing cancer or other medical conditions that may impact their reproductive health and fertility. She feels honored to support her patients and their families throughout their fertility journey.
Before embarking on her medical career, Dr. Whitehead was a competitive beach and indoor volleyball player and was a member of UBC’s Women’s Volleyball Team, which has been inducted into the UBC Sports Hall of Fame. Nowadays, she enjoys chasing after her two young children and playing various ball-related sports with them and her husband. In her spare time, Dr. Whitehead indulges in photography, cooking, and savoring the diverse culinary delights that Vancouver has to offer.
